RENATE SCHULMEISTRAT, CPA
Born and raised in Co. Wicklow, Ireland, Renate moved to Texas in 2007. Renate obtained the Accounting Technicians of Ireland (ATI) qualification, a Bachelor's in Management & Accounting and a Master's in Accounting & Financial Management (with distinction) from Keller Graduate School of Management. Renate is a licensed CPA.
With 20 years of experience in US and international accounting, in both private and public accounting, Renate most enjoys helping businesses gain a deeper understanding of their finances. She has a passion for improving processes, and developing great working relationships with business owners and their staff.
Renate is an Advanced Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) & Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA).
Renate loves to travel and has been to many countries around the world, most recently, Andorra, Monaco and Australia.

MEAGAN SPRANG - ACCOUNTANT
Born in Tulsa Meagan also lived in SD, IL, MS, TN, and NC before settling in the Dallas metroplex in 2007. Meagan’s desire for learning coupled with a strong work ethic started early and paid off as she was the Valedictorian of her high school graduating class. In 2007 she earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of NC (Greensboro) and moved on to become a choir teacher for Dallas ISD.
Switching gears in 2012, Meagan pursued her Master’s in Accounting, graduating from Kaplan University in 2013. With a passion for education coupled with a love for accounting, Meagan worked as the District Accountant and, eventually, as the Director of Accounting for Wylie Independent School District, overseeing the Accounts Payable and Accounting Offices for the District. While there she earned the Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA) certification through Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) and gained substantial experience in Governmental Accounting, state and federal funding, budget projection and analysis, and team management.
Meagan is also a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online. In the Fall 2020 Meagan joined the Gold Roots Accounting team and has loved building relationships with clients, working together to help them achieve their business financial goals.
In her spare time, Meagan enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen (and eating them, of course) and spending time with friends and family. She also loves to rehab furniture and enjoys spending time outdoors.
